How It Works

We compute the difference between the birth date and the current date (or any target date) using JavaScript's Date object, then break that difference down hierarchically: first finding completed years, then months in the remaining period, then days, hours, minutes, seconds. Edge cases like Feb 29 birthdays (leap-year babies celebrate Feb 28 or Mar 1 in non-leap years) and end-of-month calculations (Jan 31 + 1 month = Feb 28 or Mar 3?) follow conventional calendar rules where the day-of-month is clamped.
